Michigan Mechanical Ventures is a fast-growing contractor in Southeast Michigan looking to add an experienced and driven Service Plumber to our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and residential plumbing systems efficiently. This is a critical role responsible for delivering high-quality service calls on time, accurately estimating repairs, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace commercial and residential plumbing fixtures, water heaters, piping, valves, drain lines, and backflow preventers.
  • Diagnostics & Inspection: Perform thorough system evaluations, locate leaks, clear line blockages, and identify underlying mechanical issues.
  • Customer Service: Explain necessary repairs clearly to property managers, business owners, and homeowners, providing transparent estimates before starting work.
  • Compliance & Safety: Work in compliance with Michigan Plumbing Codes, OSHA guidelines, and company safety protocols.
  • Vehicle & Inventory Management: Keep company service vehicles organized, clean, and stocked with necessary tools and inventory.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Licensing: Valid Michigan Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred (experienced Apprentices near licensure considered).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on plumbing service experience, preferably with exposure to both commercial and residential systems.
  • Driver’s License: Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (subject to motor vehicle background check).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with drain cleaning equipment, pipe threading/soldering, leak detection tools, and reading blueprints/specifications.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, work in crawl spaces, basements, or on ladders, and operate power tools safely.
